Most people like the layout of their kitchen. They just want it to look new and updated with a different color scheme. They’d like to see the older hinges and handles replaced.
Refacing allows you to keep the cabinet boxes, which are usually well made compared to the thin particleboard used in some newer cabinets.
We remove and install new doors/drawer fronts, and update all the hardware. We also clean, prepare, and paint the boxes so the entire cabinet looks brand new and modern.
You also have the option to replace all of the drawer boxes and glides, which often are a major problem in older kitchens. We can really elevate your kitchen and make it modern!

It depends on the size of your kitchen, that’s why I offer free consultations. The average-size kitchen in the U.S.A. has 27 ft of cabinets. My price to reface your cabinets will be in the $7K–$12K range. My price will be significantly lower than a full cabinet replacement ($25K-$35K), or refacing with a big box company ($15K-$20K).

Yes! A cabinet reface is a great investment when considering resale. As a licensed Real Estate Agent, I can tell you that the #1 reason a house will sell fast or not is because of the kitchen. The houses I’ve built kitchens for have always sold within days.
-
I do! I work with Acorn and (in most cases) can get you a competitive financing option within minutes.

After the design choices are made and the products are ordered, it takes about 3–6 weeks to have everything ready to install.
For installation, it typically takes about 4 days. It can vary depending on the size of your kitchen and the scope of the project.
If you did a complete cabinet replacement, you’d be without your kitchen for weeks or even months. What an inconvenience!
-
It really will!
-
If you only paint the cabinets, you will have the same old outdated door style, half-inch overlay doors, clunky old drawers, and ugly exposed hinges. All you have done is changed the color. The term overlay refers to how much the cabinet door covers the cabinet frame.
With a reface, the doors are brand new (most people like shaker style, but we have several other choices). The hinges are replaced to be hidden and soft-close and the doors are full overlay.
If you also want to also replace your drawers, we can install brand new dovetail maple drawer boxes with top quality undermount soft-close glides.

Examples of common custom modifications I can do:
Add a pantry
Make an island bigger
Add a farm sink
Extend upper cabinets to the ceiling
Change a lower cabinet from doors to large drawers
Etc. Let’s talk!
-
Yes, I can coordinate this! Or if preferred, I will coordinate with a contractor you know.
-
Absolutely! I have a great eye for colors and styles, and will curate a design tailored to fit your unique home. Every house is different, which makes every project a fun adventure for me.

That’s a great question! Let’s break it down:
Company structure - if you deal with a large corporation, you’ll deal with a scheduler, sales rep, production coordinator, production scheduler, and installation technician. You are relying on all these departments to communicate your needs and choices accurately. If you are unsatisfied with the work, you have to deal with a customer service rep to figure out where the mistakes were made. When you hire me, I’m your only contact from beginning to end!
The pitch - most big companies have a 10-step sales system. These pitches are usually recorded, last 2-3 hours, and are designed to get you to say yes that day. Many of these sales reps are conditioned to sell you the highest price point to retain their highest commission. With me, it’s a collaborative, low-pressure experience with no corporate slide-show!
Flexibility - big corporations have strict rules that the sales rep’s have to adhere to. They can’t make a lot of design changes, won’t touch the inside shelving, and often won’t give you the option to replace the drawers. Because I’ve built cabinets from scratch for years, I can make any changes you need!
Price - The big corporations have to charge you almost double. They ask for 100% upfront, I ask for 75% and the remaining 25% isn’t due until you’re satisfied. As a one-man-show, you’re not paying the overhead premium!
Quality - I have more experience than the corporate installation technicians and more design experience than any of their sales rep’s. The products I use are at the highest quality. They’ll use terms like “Chuck in a truck” or “Stan in a van” as a quippy way of disparaging small companies, don’t fall for that. I personally stand behind all of my work 100%. Check my reviews!
Timing - Corporations take 2-3 months to source materials. I’m ready to install in 3-6 weeks!

Now that’s a question I can’t answer…
This made me laugh, but my kids rolled their eyes.
